Excerpt from my original “About”:

I always assumed I would be a writer of fantasy and science fiction, but I let it get away from me. I read and listen to a lot of sci-fi. I really enjoy the stuff by Neal Stephenson, Charlie Stross, John Scalzi, Cory Doctorow, and Neil Gaiman. Since they were all up for the 2009 Novel Hugo, I’m not alone. I don’t imagine that I’m that good. But I read and listen to a lot of stuff that I think I can be as good as, and get better. I simply have to make myself write. I want to keep track of my efforts here and see if I can make myself do it.
